Supporting Local Schools

Its that time again when Alamo Pet Store donates a rescue puppy to a local school. This year, Vista Grande will auction off our rescue puppy.

Meet Shelby


Through your donations, the Vista Grande PTA is able to support both children and teachers with a wide range of programs and services, including the art program, the vocal music program, the technology program, the science aide, field trip scholarships, teacher development, teacher supplies, and many others.

School Auction Advantages, it’s a win-win-win.

• School raises money for needed programs
• Winning family may write-off the full bid amount (California law allows tax payers to write-off above the market value of items received as the result of a donation. Estimate pure-breed value $1000, rescue's $0)
• Rescue puppy receives a great home.
• No issues surrounding support of puppy mills or unethical breeders.
• Puppy visits prior to the auction, insure this puppy will not be an impulse auction item. This puppy will find a home with a well-informed loving family who has spent quality-time with the puppy and have had time to give serious consideration to the addition of this particular bundle of love to their family
